Victorian Precinct Oamaru

#21 Do - walk the old town of Oamaru, the 'Victorian Precinct' and remember to look up! With most buildings dating from 1860s to 1880s and originally built as grain and seed warehouses, many are made out of locally quarried limestone, which apparently was easy to carve into the beautiful neoclassical style. It's considered to be one of New Zealand's most impressive streetscapes considering the number of buildings from this time. South of the Waitaki ❤️
