#27 Buy - Warm and toasty inside on a rainy Dunedin day, it's perfect for reading my 'new' cookbook from Shop on Carroll op shop. Opened in 2006 by Presbyterian Support Otago, which started as a Social Service Association in Dunedin in 1906 when it opened a children's home. It's great to know that all profits made from the store support those in need in our community such as Enliven for older people, YouthGrow and Family Works. Shop on Carroll has great vintage finds including this book from 1925 (I love how recipes were so simple then!) with cute tips like 'biscuits are useful things to have on hand, provided the housewife is successful in hiding her supply.'
