Hereweke Track (Harbour Cone)
#32 Do - Hereweke track (Harbour Cone) for incredible views, even on a rainy, blustery day, from a 315m conical peak on the Peninsula. It is a remnant of the volcano that exploded around 13 million years ago that created our amazing harbour and peninsula. Climb over basalt boulders (formed as cooling lava flow cracked into 'organ pipes') as you get to the top and pass a historic farm ruin on the way down
