Bike Otago
#39 Buy - super impressed by the service today at Bike Otago. Having been back in Dunedin almost 2 years, my old bike (a second hand purchase in Melbourne) was still in bits from the move, so today Ethan at Bike Otago put it brilliantly back together (and it turns out it has 10 gears - about 9 more than it had in Melbourne which is excellent for getting me up the hill home!) Bike Otago is Dunedin's only independent bike shop and is locally owned by Kashi Leuchs, who returned home to Dunedin after representing NZ in mountain biking in 3 Olympic Games and competing in 13 consecutive World Championships! They offer a great service, are really community focussed with weekly mountain bike rides from the shop (one specific for beginner ladies) during daylight saving hours and support local biking related organisations. And they were so nice and friendly and helpful! Excited to start zipping about on my bicycle
