Potpourri Date Scone
#42 Eat - a date scone from Potpourri Cafe in Dunedin. Best in the world! I met Potpourri's friendly owner Hilary today as she was making coffee behind the counter when I collected a couple of scones. The date scones are sweetened by the dates alone plus a little maple syrup on the top for glossy deliciousness. Perfect treat warmed with a big dollop of butter. Interesting wee bit of history is that the cafe is furnished with original pieces from the Little Sisters of the Poor chapel after they moved from Anderson's Bay to Brockville back in 1978.
