Writers and Readers Festival

#57 Do - I love to read so it was fantastic to attend the Dunedin Writers & Readers Festival this weekend. The festival had over 80 writers, performers and illustrators gathered for 36 events over 6 days. I'm a big fan of historical fiction, so it was super interesting to listen to Australian Hannah Kent speak about her book 'The Good People' and New Zealander Catherine Chidgey on her book 'The Wish Child' today. I learnt 'how to drink a beer' (an icy cold beer goes down a treat but apparently for best flavour you should drink it a tad warmer.....) by attending a fun and interesting session with Alice Galletly and Michael Donaldson (and met Jesse Mulligan!) How lucky are we to have this amazing event organised in our city ❤️
