Nicol's Creek Run
#83 Do - celebrate the view from the Nicol's Creek Switchback mountain bike track. Another great jogging track (be careful of bikers!) maintained by MTB Otago. It's a nice weaving, gradual incline through bush and forest about 5km up to the end of the track, which is still being developed and will link in to the Pineapple Track once complete. Named after David Nicol who came to Dunedin from Scotland in 1856 and worked as a gardener. He eventually bought 200 acres of rural farm land and a block in central Dunedin, grazing stock on the land above the creek.
