#90 Drink - early this morning I popped in for a long black from Jay at The Daily Coffee Co. A gem in the eclectic end of Princes St, it's a cool, elegant space with his collection of antique mirrors on the back wall. There's a revolving wall of art to keep the space fresh, which currently has some great vintage movie posters including Casablanca, my favourite! Jay and his wife Suz moved to Dunedin, having fallen in love with the city, knowing their kids will have the kind of childhood where they can hop on their BMX and head to the corner dairy without worry. He opened The Daily Coffee Co. on the 1st of December last year and I remember going in that day for a coffee and chatting to Jay - he's super friendly and does excellent coffee and chai
