The Vertue of the Coffee Drink

#91 Eat - It's fun just finding this place, hidden down an alley behind a petrol station in Carlton and through a little wooden door, The Vertue of the Coffee Drink is a micro roaster, cafe, kitchen and retailer and a very cool spot. Named after an advertisement boasting the health benefits of coffee written in 1652 when coffee first arrived in England. A really interesting space, the building was originally stables, then a house, it was converted in 2015 by local owner Mike Cracknell for Vertue. A delicious breakfast of chai pannacotta with Persian fairy floss and plum coulis was a treat this morning
