Lune Croissanterie

#93 Eat - the best pastry I've ever had! My early morning jog today was to Lune Croissanterie to pick up breakfast. I left with a couple of brown paper bags of treats including a twice baked coconut pandan croissant which takes 4 days to make = sweet buttery crispy coconut deliciousness! We also had to try a lemon curd cruffin that they're famous for creating in 2013. In a converted warehouse, down a little back street in Fitzroy, they started as a hole in the wall shop in 2012 in Elwood (where people used to queue from 4am!) and opened in this new space in 2015. You can watch the pastries being made through a huge glass cube in the middle of the warehouse. Started by Kate Reid, a former aerospace engineer, she sources ingredients from Victoria where possible (eggs, flour, milk) and makes a brilliant product.
