#127 Eat - beautifully presented, delicious and healthy food from The Standard Kitchen. Locally owned by Angela and James, they make everything from scratch and use local and seasonal produce as much as possible. Today I popped in for one of their delicious house-made chai lattes and I can also highly recommend their 'pumpkin pie' pecan and cacao butter on pumpkin +seed toast - yum! They opened in October 2015 after the Standard Building renovation was completed. I think it is the most elegant cafe in Dunedin, you only have to look up at the ceiling to see why. The renovation of the 1875 Mason and Wales designed building is incredible - there is an ODT article showing before and after images written in June 2015. It's great to pop out the back door of the cafe to look up and see the lovely glass/iron beams/bluestone combination.
