Aurum Wines and Olive Oil

#133 Buy - today we popped in and met Joan at Aurum Wines, just north of Cromwell in Central Otago. Family owned vineyard and olive orchard, Tony and Joan bought their land in 2000. Their tasting room is a cute wooden farm cottage built in 1920. It was a great experience trying each of their organic wines while chatting to Joan, my favourite being a 2014 reserve pinot noir named after their granddaughter Mathilde. Along with some wine, we bought a bottle of their olive oil which is Joan's passion - grown on site, hand picked and cold pressed, it is a blend of 3 Italian varieties Leccino, Pendolino and Frantoio. Looking forward to enjoying some locally grown products
