Bannockburn Hotel
#134 Buy - a beer in the winter sun at the Bannockburn Hotel. Local husband and wife owners Andy and Anna bought this historic country pub in 2016. They have a great menu and many local wines and beers on offer. The original hotel opened in the 1860s during a time of extensive gold mining in the surrounding land. It was demolished and the current building was constructed in 1935. The hotel was granted the first liquor licence in Central Otago. So lovely to sit in beaming sunshine in a stunning setting.
