The Blue Door
#149 Do - find The Blue Door in Arrowtown. A super cosy, locally owned bar which opened 17 years ago. With an open fire, low ceiling, beautiful stone walls and big old beams, it's a perfect spot for a drink. It was historically the storeroom/cellar for the Arrowtown General Store, which was first built in 1862, then re-built in 1872 with a second story, which burnt in a fire in 1896, and was restored back to a single level store and continued to be a General Store up until 1999.
