#198 Buy - a locally designed and hand printed linen tea towel from Crown & Feathers. Kate Watts originally started her design career with a little clothing label that led to her specialising in fingerless gloves back in 2008. Her product range now includes scarves and tea towels, all with her beautiful designs. She's inspired by nature, vintage textiles, wallpapers and old letters, from which she hand draws her designs. These are then hand printed onto her pieces in her Dunedin studio. I bought one of her tea towels from Olveston Historic Home, a great local gift as it contains Kate's lovely drawings of vintage implements from the Olveston kitchen and scullery. It's a combination of things I'm particularly fond of - vintage, local, quality, art, design, history! You'll also find her designs in Olivier Home and Seriously Twisted in Dunedin.
