Bacchus Wine Bar and Restaurant

#203 Eat - at Bacchus Wine Bar and Restaurant. Having opened 25 years ago in 1992, Bacchus is the longest establish restaurant in Dunedin. Bacchus sits in a lovely historic building overlooking the Octagon, on the first floor of what used to be a bank. Locally owned by Steve Hannagan since the day the doors first opened, Bacchus is a Dunedin institution. Named after the Roman god of wine and (not surprisingly) they have a fantastic wine list and tonight, as part of a special function, they put on a wonderful degustation dinner menu with beautiful dishes like this yellow fin tuna tataki with wasabi mayo and soy
