Steam Café Oamaru

#224 Buy - a morning coffee from Steam Café in Oamaru. Sitting in the sunshine in their back garden on a stunning spring day was our first stop in Oamaru today. Steam is in one of Oamaru’s many lovely old buildings, it was built in 1865 and originally a veterinary practice on the ground level with a pharmacy on the first floor. Locally owned by Toni and coffee roasted by her husband Derek (great coffee!), they took over the building and set up in 2007. I love that the back garden grows edible flowers that Toni was picking while we were there and has cute little tables for children. Perfect stop before a stroll around town and explore of some of the antique stores
