Back Beach Port Chalmers
#246 Do - Sit on the jetty in the sun at Back Beach in Port Chalmers. One of my favourite places. Today we drove past the enormous Golden Princess cruise ship, the hundreds of tree trunks sitting at the Port, and into the gravel Peninsula Beach Road. Tucked away, quiet, with stunning views and sunshine, it's a beautiful spot. There is even a Back Beach Poetry Trail by the Back Beach Writers' Group, with 11 short poems on ceramic tiles dotted along the road to inspire creativity.
