Golling an der Salzach

#257 Do - This morning we woke to a winter wonderland! Yesterday we crossed the border to Austria to a little village called Golling an der Salzach to stay in a family run hotel. What started as a butcher shop and tavern in 1909, the Döllerer family business expanded into a hotel, deli and restaurant with 3 generations now involved. Dinner at the traditional Wirtshaus included mountain cheese soup and nougat dumplings with salted caramel ice cream - yum. A pretty incredible start to our day was heading out in the snow to find this trail to a beautiful lake, quiet and perfectly still in amongst the snow.
