Leipziger Weihnachtsmarkt
#268 Do - Experience a German Christmas market. We arrived in Leipzig (our final destination) and we headed out and joined the locals at their Weihnachtsmarkt. The market dates back to 1458, and with falling snow, the smell of cinnamon and mulled wine, live music and a festive atmosphere, it was beautiful. And very cold (with wind chill -7 degrees!). It also has my favourite German sausage dish, currywurst!
