Leipzig Allasch
#271 Buy - an Allasch Cocktail. Leipzig Allasch is a caraway liqueur invented in 1823 and it was exhibited at the Leipzig Trade Fair in 1830. A businessman Wilhelm Horn established a spirit and liqueur factory in Leipzig in 1923, and produced a local version of Allasch. Apparently it is best served ice cold and often had as a digestive after meals, however I thought best to try as a pre opera (this time Madama Butterfly) cocktail 🍸!
