Stroll The Student Quarter
#299 Do - Explore how our Otago University students live and discover some grand, old homes in the student quarter, some with Heritage NZ listings. Stroll these streets around the University and feel like you take a step back in time. The first mansion in this series is one of my favourites, it was known as Woodside, built in 1876 for Judge Henry Chapman and is an example of Dunedin architect Francis Petre's pioneering work in concrete construction, for which he was nicknamed Lord Concrete.
