Bannockburn Sluicings
#300 Do - Explore the Bannockburn Sluicings and discover the remains of gold mining workings from the early 1860s, when alluvial gold was found in Bannockburn. There are a few trails to explore and a main 3.5km loop. With informative panels along the way, stunning landscape, caves, rabbits and impressive cliff faces (remains of hills that were sluiced to find gold), it's an interesting, historic trail and made for a fun walk this evening.
