Corpse Flower...
#323 Do - See (and smell) the enormous corpse flower at the Dunedin Botanic Garden. It was fascinating to learn it has taken since 2008 to flower. It was given to the Botanic Gardens as a 100g corm (bulb) the size of a golf ball which now weighs 32kg and is the size of a beach ball. It will only flower for 24 to 72 hours, so I joined the queue this morning to check it out and smell the scent! A little bit like Epoisses cheese....
