Benger Garden Cafe

#338 Eat - As we drive to and from Central Otago, we have discovered a great pie in the tiny town of Ettrick. Benger Garden Cafe is locally owned by John and Lee, who took over the business in 2012. With fantastic pie flavours, hearty amounts of meat and made on site, the cafe is a great stopping point along the journey. Interesting to learn that Ettrick was named after the Ettrick Valley in Scotland when it was founded in the 1860s by Scottish settlers. Tonight was a very easy dinner of a yummy Satay Chicken and a Moroccan Lamb pie 🥧
