Farm Gate Hazelnuts
#346 Eat - Locally grown hazelnuts from a roadside stall 🤗 A very old and grand entrance to a farming property and a little sign for eggs and hazelnuts caught my eye along Allanton Road on the Taieri. Coastal Otago and Southland are some of the largest growing areas for hazelnuts in NZ and are usually harvested from February to April. Loved that I could pick these up from the farm gate. A very tasty local snack 👌
