Sunday Coffee with a View
#351 Do - Mount Cargill as our morning coffee spot. We cheated slightly and drove to the top! Having only ever walked or jogged the track (which is a fantastic way up), it was fun to take the easy route on a lazy Sunday morning and our coffee from Oaken was still hot 👌 Beautiful panoramic views, lots of big rocks to sit on, and it was so lovely and warm. Mount Cargill is named for Captain William Cargill, founder of the Otago settlement. He arrived in Dunedin in 1848 on the John Wickliffe ship and became a member of parliament for Dunedin Country and the first Superintendent of Otago.
