Black Peak Gelato
#359 Eat - Sea Salted Caramel gelato by Black Peak Gelato in Wanaka. Locally owned by Jon, he was passed down gelato recipes from an Italian friend that were created 70 years ago in Tuscany. The delicious sorbets and gelatos are crafted with vintage Italian gelato machines onsite using local ingredients (especially love the sorbets are full of Central Otago stonefruit) where possible. I tried my first gelato from their cute vintage truck at the Wanaka Show on Saturday and had to go back to their gelateria on the lake front last night for more...so yum!
