Boulder Beach Dunedin

#Do - Happy Friday from Boulder Beach! You can hear the crashing of the waves far before reaching this isolated spot. I took the Highcliff Track from Braidwood Road, with views of the cliffs and coast as you head down through farmland, with old stone walls and bluestone farm buildings. It became a little challenging closer to the beach, as it was quite overgrown (turns out I’d also taken a wrong turn, to a very overgrown track - to the point I was leaving myself reminders of where to go... ) but was fun to finally step out onto the rocks. I kept my eyes peeled for yellow eyed penguins, as apparently they’re regulars here, but no sign this morning. It was about 6km return from my park at the start of Braidwood road, a fab start to Friday 🤗
