Two of the Three Peaks Mt Race
#Do - Race the Summit! I opted for the easier 11k run that included the two peaks, Flagstaff and Swampy Summit, as part of The Three Peaks Mountain Race. Organised by the Leith Harrier Club, this event has been running for 35 years and is a great way to experience the hills and views of Dunedin. It was a little on the blustery side.....add mud and a steep climb, it was a slippery, slow, slog to the top! But an awesome challenge and I’m already keen to add the third peak (Mt Cargill - with an extra 15km 😬) next year. Special thanks to all the hardy volunteers who did a fantastic job, especially in that weather!
