Dada
#Do - Step inside Dada, the gorgeous clothing boutique in Moray Place. Locally owned by Marie, a talented artist and designer, Dada recently celebrated its 10th birthday. Alongside a select range of high quality garments from New Zealand and international designers, Marie offers her own locally made Dada Knit range and mostly one-off design pieces in her Dada Collection. Dada is named after the 1920's art movement in Germany (Dada also means hobby horse) and the store is like a studio, where the clothes sit amongst an interesting mix of art, ceramics, sculptures, jewellery and cute vintage hobby horses. Dada is nestled in a cluster of independent stores, cafes and galleries in Moray Place, just off the beaten track of George St, and one of my favourite little areas of Dunedin.
