#Do - Learn to brew my own kombucha 🍹! I recently learnt about Pikaado, an online platform where talented locals share their skills and knowledge in the form of workshops and you can ‘pick-a-do’. The Pikaado website was launched in Dunedin earlier this year by Kate and Burcu, with a focus on bringing communities together. With about 80 workshops on the website, they have a great range of activities, from how to prune trees, make chocolates, forage food on the Peninsula, to how to build a dry stone wall. So, keen to learn about this fermented beverage, I booked into Kerryn's Make Kombucha workshop in her home in Macandrew Bay. A sunny afternoon with a small group of friendly people also keen to brew ‘booch’, it was fun! I left feeling very responsible for the scoby I was given to take home (and honestly, I'm still a little nervous of it!), but so happy with the results, delish👌
