Cardrona Valley Gin

All wrapped up sitting by an outside fire on a winter evening with a gin and tonic. We’re fans of locally made The Source gin, from the Cardrona Valley. The vision of a Wanaka local, Desiree Whitaker, she established Cardrona Distillery in 2015 with her husband Ash. Their first barrels of their single malt whisky will only be available in 2025, but in the meantime they make a range of high quality spirits and offer a fun tasting experience at the distillery, which we did a wee while ago. It’s super informative and loved learning how they use local ingredients where possible in their products (like rosehip, elderflower and cherry). Perfect end to the day 👌.
