Weekend reading 🤗 Yesterday I headed along to the Dunedin Writers and Readers Festival event where local author Liam McIlvanney spoke to Steve Braunias, an interesting and fun interview. A University of Otago professor, Liam McIlvanney and his family made Dunedin home just over ten years ago. Originally from Scotland, his most recent book, The Quaker, won Scottish Crime Book of the Year 2018 and is based on the Bible John murders in Glasgow in 1969. I’m a bit of a fan of the crime genre (numerous Netflix crime series behind us - currently in the middle of Line of Duty, so good), so I’m looking forward to getting my head stuck into this one!Â
