Penfold’s Post Box
I found the cutest post box in Dunedin. It’s a Penfold-style pillar box, named after an English surveyor and architect, John Penfold, who designed these in the 1860s-1870s. It’s one of the few remaining in New Zealand and sits outside the main gates of Olveston. Apparently by 1912 we posted 139 items each per year on average here in NZ. This year I’m keen to send more mail, especially to my Grandma in Waimate, there’s something quite nice about sending (and receiving) mail 🤗
