Arthur St Reserve

Find the trio of enormous old trees in the Arthur Street Reserve, head into the centre and look up. There’s something about them that makes you feel a connection to the past, a sense of history. A photo in the ODT in 1948 shows these trees were enormous back then, so they may have been planted back in the 1840s when the reserve was the original Dunedin Cemetery. After two weeks mostly at home with a sick little Jack, we ventured out to the park yesterday for some fresh air and exploring between the trees🌲
