McQuilkans Track

McQuilkans Track adventure last week. It started with ‘let’s try this track’ assuming it was just another nice link down to the Bull Ring carpark from the main track heading to Swampy Summit. Incredible native bush, deep mud at times that my friend tells me was perfect practice for the Rakiura track and about 6 creek crossings. With each creek we crossed, and the distance we descended, we were more and more reluctant to turn back! So it was with a little sigh of relief that we came across a sign that informed us we were close to Rollinsons Road, and a short jog to the car. It was certainly an adventure. And would be a more fun summer track….
